This town is very heavy and bigger than I really expected. It’s thicker than most tile, and has the consistency of stone. However, the design looks printed on. It doesn’t look painted. If it looked realistic, it wouldn’t be a problem, but it looks like it was printed on with printer paper or something. It’s even a little off-center. It’s really expensive, so I expected more. I purchased the Moroccan handmade zellige tiles in the color ‘Oceanside’ from Wayfair for my bathroom floor, and I am thrilled with the result. The beautiful blue hue of the tiles, with plenty of variation, matches the name perfectly—it really does resemble deep blue water on the floor. The tiles arrived well-packaged, with only a few field pieces broken, which wasn’t a major issue. While there were some minor chips on the edges, using a similar color grout and cutting the edges made them blend in nicely, so they’re hardly noticeable. We used these tiles in a bathroom because they are slightly rough, nonslip, nonabsorbent and tough. We cut them in half so they appear to match an existing tile/brick outside of the bathroom.
