The tub seems like a good quality as described. Delivery didn’t go well. I paid the extra to have it brought up seven steps. The delivery people were inexperienced and didn’t want to bring the tub upstairs. By the way they are average stairs not narrow or steep. They wanted me to sign paperwork that said they weren’t responsible for any damage to tub or house. I refused and the tub ended up in the garage. They scratched it. The scratch will be covered by tile so it’s okay. Very unprofessional. Wayfair has tried to help with this problem. It’s okay my husband and another person carried it upstairs. They aren’t movers but accomplished it. We decided that the adjustable legs were not very helpful. They sit on small like bolt heads. Too much pressure on the small area. Maybe there are better ways to use them. We are frustrated with the drain waste assembly which doesn’t come with the tub. Our plumber has not been able to get one that fits. The one that cheviot makes is $300 . It’s made to show but that’s not necessary for this tub as it sits behind a wall. We are currently trying to install one recommended by cheviot. Hope it works but I’m already not happy with it because it has a plastic overflow. Two months later, this is my update. I'm enjoying the tub. the quality seems good. It had what we thought were serious scratches from delivery and installation. Someone who knew tubs told us to try a variety of pencil erasers and lots of elbow grease. That really worked! Two hours of erasing and no more marks. We ended up getting the very expensive drain assembly from Cheviot. It truly is the only one that will work in my experience. This beautiful tub is perfect for our bathroom remodel and worth the investment! So happy with this purchase! The air bubbles are strong and provide that luxury "spa" touch. We worked with the plumber and electrician together during the rough-in phase to 1) install an electrical outlet for the motor in the closet adjacent to the tub, and 2) run conduit under the floor between the closet and the tub. Everything is elegantly hidden from view, and the blower motor is easy to access if necessary. The tub deck is blank so it can be drilled for your customized faucet choices. This beautiful bath tub has been a labor of love - the process of choosing one that is. I looked at more modern styles by Victoria + Albert, and in person I was pretty disappointed with the volcanic limestone. It felt like cheap plastic to me & my husband. It could be fantastic, but it just felt cheap. I decided I wanted something more solid and classic in both look & feel. Cheviot has been a wonderful company to work with. I chose the custom exterior color “Midnight Navy” by Benjamin Moore, and I absolutely love it! Our home remodel and bathroom extension is still underway, so I haven’t had the tub installed yet. I have however sat in it many times, and it’s very comfortable. I do wish I would have gone for the longer size. I am 5’6 1/2”.
