I gave this so much thought. So happy I spent a few extra bucks and got this. You will need two people to move it. The recommended Kohler drain assembly is also a little more expensive but worth it. I’m 6 months in and I’m confident this shower pan will last a lifetime.

We have had this installed for 6 months with no issues. Very pretty white color, textured bottom where you stand so its slip resistant.

Looks great, well constructed, no defects noted.

This review is based on unpacking and installation. I haven't really used the shower pan for any length of time to post any useful long-term usage information. FYI, this make/model of shower base appears to have a warpage issue from the factory. I tried two (2) of them - purchased from separate companies (Rona and Warfair) - and they were BOTH warped. The tiling flange/threshold/pan apron cannot be made to sit completely straight and level and is bowed into a "U" by about 3/8" to 1/2". Pictures below are of two separate pans, and the laser line is perfectly straight and level. This has the potential to mess up the installation of shower doors. Otherwise, the pan is as advertised. It's solid and heavy and once it's shimmed it's like a rock with no tilting or flexing. The enamel coating is nice (although it does get pretty thin towards the edges and on the tile flange to the point where you can see the underlying metal). The non-slip surface is also effective. It's basically what you would expect from a enamel coated cast iron shower pan. The warpage issue is sub-par though.

If you're tired of dirty grout between your shower base tiles or don't like the cheap feel of acrylic bases under foot then this is the shower base you should buy. As others have noted it is heavy and requires metal shims (manufacturer recommended) to level due to the weight. The white is a nice pure, bright white that easily matches your other porcelain bathroom fixtures. The non-slip surface does the job but requires a little extra scrubbing to clean. Highly recommend this base.
