The series of Medallion back chairs are one of the most demand styles. This counter stool is sure to bring an essence of french country inspiration as well as a rustic edge.
I researched, clicked endlessly and looked at easily 250 counter stools for my brand new, renovated kitchen. You really need to MEASURE the floor space under your island counter b4 starting your search bc that measurement dictates how WIDE each stool can be. Standard “rule” is keep 6 inches between stools. Anyway, after wasting time looking at stools that I later realized were TOO WIDE, I started over looking strictly for more narrow stools (with a comfortable back rest and cushioned seat). Zentique’s Medallion 25” stool fit the bill. We love it the natural, ever so slightly distressed wood finish, the light linen fabric, THE 17” width, the oval shaped back. I took off one star for two reasons (1) the wooden bar meant to serve as the foot rest feels like it might break when my 6 foot tall husband isn’t being careful (2) the seat cushion is rather stiff our thighs are pressing the front edge of the cushion down already and we’ve only owned the stools 3 days.
