This stunning piece is a minimalist work of art; using a unique European technique, artisans inlay strands of brass to the molten glass while blowing it into a cone. This brass remains encapsulated there, coming to life when illuminated from within and resulting in a work of simple sophistication. Housing a long, tungsten-filament bulb, each piece gives forth its own character.

Gorgeous lights- large, heavy glass shades. The pattern in the glass is very small and helps hide dust. The gold is the perfect shade- not yellow or brass toned. The chain adds some additional interest- not standard circle to circle chain. We completely renovated our kitchen last year and I looked for the pendants for months- these were worth the wait. The range of Malamata lights (named to recall the designer's Israeli roots, drawing on the Hebrew meaning of 'up and down') is characterized by the possibility of a variety of diffuser positions.
