Purchased 2 boxes (20 pcs) 12x12 copper slate tiles. 2 tiles fell apart on first handling. 5 tiles were warped so badly that the backs rocked 1/2" - 3/4" against a flat surface. 4 had dramatic differences in thickness making them tricky to blend. I used a diamond scarfing disc on my variable speed orbital grinder to adequately flatten the backs of the warped tiles so it'll work out for my backsplash addition.
