When we decided to revive this extraordinary pattern from our archive, we took it to one of the oldest family mills in Europe to get it right. With its fanciful flora and fauna rendered in a fine damask weave, Animali has gorgeous dimensions and a subtle sheen. A suzani motif is rendered in velvet with a combination of piles and loops on a sateen-like ground for a subtle, tone-on-tone interpretation of a traditional pattern.
