The stripes 2.0 line design is an homage to Walter Gropius, reinterpreted with a contemporary feel. His hand-drawn design appears more linear because there are bigger gaps between the individual lines. A new modern, urban, and simplistic design is brought to the classic TAC in mix and match, with matte and shiny surfaces and shimmering metallic parts. The design is supplemented by color and façade elements taken from the Rosenthal am Rothbühl porcelain factory, which was designed by Walter Gropius. For this, the Rosenthal Creative Centre took photographs of pieces of the legendary exposed concrete butterfly roof and placed them on a wall plate with a 3D effect. The collection’s accentuated red tone, which is depicted on the glass plates and as a dot on the porcelain, was inspired by a railing at the factory. The stripes 2.0 design draws on historical references, a building of immense appeal, and a unique mix of structures and materials that is characteristic of Bauhaus to capture the essence of the Bauhaus movement and its founder Walter Gropius and create an amalgamated statement of clarity and existence for the here and now.

TAC 02 was created from Walter Gropius' unedited original designs. Purist design, based on simple geometric shapes, lends "TAC" a timeless poetry. Delicate ornamentation and stark black and white contrasts on the finest, slightly translucent porcelain emphasize the outstanding design features of this icon of Bauhaus design. TAC 02 offers a dinnerware, stemware, and tea service collection. The TAC collection, which was created in 1969 and named after Gropius’ Boston office 'The Architects Collaborative’, is one of the most successful porcelain series in the world. Its minimalist design, the use of simple hemispheres for both pot and cups, and the playfulness of triangle and square shapes all remain true to Bauhaus tradition.

The TAC collection, an icon of Bauhaus design and developed by Walter Gropius, TAC skin gold is a graphic design in elegant gold. Sophisticated multiple finishing techniques give the flat pieces a fine relief structure, while top-quality screen-printed decoration gives hollow pieces such as the teapot a smooth, matte surface. Small overlapping leaves form a golden mosaic that sometimes extends across the entire surface of the plate and other times appears only as a contour adorning the edges. The new design therefore picks up on the theme of structure and contrast already visible in Gropius’ original design and enhances the distinctive styling of the timeless classic that is among Rosenthal’s best-selling tableware series.

This classic design from the Rosenthal, TAC 02 platinum features a simple line around the rim, thus emphasizing its shape.

Every day brings new ideas, new opportunities, and new potential. In keeping with this spirit, Mesh – the modern dining collection from Rosenthal – lends a whole new meaning to the word "exibility" and succeeds in the art of effortlessly merging the seemingly contradictory. More than basic pieces can be combined and mixed as the mood takes you. The perfect interplay between soft and hard edges along with the delicate, stylish relief pattern lend the collection its unique character.

This cup was inspired by the powerful sensuality of orchids and the rich ambiance of haute couture strikingly simple yet full of the most extreme detail. The collection has an almost gothic feeling opiated, lush, and smoldering like the dark, velvety atmosphere of a luxurious evening.
