In 1933, when Frank Lloyd Wright converted the original gymnasium of his Hillside home school, located in spring green, Wisconsin, into a theater, he designed lighting pendants composed of rectangular light boxes and plywood shields to be suspended from the tall ceiling. These fixtures proved to be a lighting innovation, providing comfortable indirect light without the use of glass or shades. In 1952, when the theater was rebuilt following a fire, Wright modified the design of the original fixtures for use in the dining room, attaching them to the oak beam overhead. He found their soft indirect light so pleasing that he had a standing floor lamp of the same design fabricated for use in his own home.

The lamp is an absolute work of Art! The design and craftsmanship are top notch. It is a statement piece that is anchoring the center of my audio room. The cherry co traits well with ny walnut floors and the light is warm and provides a good accent. It was packaged very well with good supports and cushioning.. Ken. Wed Feb 04 2026

Designed by Victor Vasilev, the Parallel 63.4" Novelty Floor Lamp consists of a cylindrical metal lampshade supported by a vertical stem positioned laterally. The stem has two matt-black metallic plates that are spaced apart and slide in Parallel directions from the base to the lampshade. What makes Parallel unique is the lampshade, which has been covered on the outside with hammered leather. This is the first time that Oluce has used leather in a collection of lamps, and this shows its ability to explore new solutions and to continue to remain innovative. The Parallel 63.4" Novelty Floor Lamp also exists in a table lamp version.

Astrid takes all the things that make you nostalgic for Mid-Century Modern vibes and makes them new again. The integrated LED bars can be twisted to give directional light up or down on all pendants. This collection will take your next design out of this world with its mix of old and new sensibilities.

The concept is spectacular, mostly in lining along a big walkway. One remark : it might be even better if the band's width was about one inch narrower!. Claire. Aiken, SC. Sat Sep 06 2025

Futuristic and full of Gusto, the capsule collection designed by Cesar Giraldo features artisanal hand-blown glass elements. The glasses' hand-crafted dimples refract dedicated LED lighting that highlights an undulating silhouette throughout the fixture. Diffused evenly across a thin tube of white acrylic encased within a larger vacuum of clear glass, the airy compositions appear to be floating while amply filling spaces.
