The concept of Alba 68" Floor Lamp starts with a very simple element: the designer’s imagination was inspired by a drop of water – which she puts to use in different ways, depending on the model.
Three pieces of heavily textured handmade glass form the curved shape of the Glissade LED arc floor lamp. "Walking across an icy pond in Iowa," said designer Andy Morter, "I was captivated by the clarity and natural geometry of the fractured pieces of ice where their jagged edges met the shoreline." A dimmer is perfectly located for easy access.
Superlunar floor lamp conceals the electrical components and it hosts the light source: the LED opens out onto the stem in line with the semi-spherical shade that reflects its light by rotating on its own axis. In this way, the echo of the perpetual movement of celestial bodies is enhanced by the small luminous core contained in the structure of the lamp itself. Superlunar won the German Design Award in 2018.
The concept of Alba starts with a very simple element: The designer’s imagination was inspired by a drop of water – which she puts to use in different ways, depending on the model. The Alba floor lamp has a large rectangular-section stem with a satin brass finish that arises from an anthracite base and two arms of different heights where each side supports the luminous drops, one from above and the other from below.
