Designed in 1977 by Vico Magistretti, over the years, Atollo has become the archetype of the table lamp, winning the Compasso d’Oro in 1979 and completely revolutionizing the way we imagine the classic bedside lamp. The geometric shapes that compose it – cylinder, cone, and hemisphere – have resulted in a product that is decorative and essential at the same time, disconnected from the historical period and the fashions of the moment, and one that has now fully become one of the icons of Italian design.

The archetype of the table lamp and icon of Italian style. Atollo, designed in 1977 and winner of the Compasso d’Oro Award, completely revolutionized the way of imagining the classic bedside table lamp. Composed of essential geometric shapes, Atollo is a timeless decorative lamp that restores value by way of its very simplicity.

The Pin table lamp’s playful aesthetic is reminiscent of drawing pins, a reference echoed in the palette of rich tones. For versatility, the range also includes more subtle, understated hues. The design is intentionally pared back, focusing on essential elements. The half-dome shade is paired with a layered, laser-cut steel base. The cable is discreetly routed through its pole to a colour-matched braided cord with an in-line switch. A soft, downward pool of light is cast from the white inner shade. The switch features a dial dimmer for easy adjustment of the LED bulb’s brightness. Designed in New Zealand by David Moreland and Nikolai Sorensen.

A mix of natural and modern materials gives this lamp its simple charm. The travertine base grounds the design with subtle texture, while the brass dome shade adds a warm, polished finish. A clean, sculptural accent that brings soft light and understated style to any room.
