In the highland headwaters of the Delaware River in the Catskill mountains, the town of Bovina is known for its centuries-old farmhouses. Designed in collaboration with renowned lifestyle editor Newell Turner, the Nine Stars Coverlet rug draws on this sense of place to envision a slower, more nature-based way of living. A skilled artisan hand-knotted this rug, resulting in banded ends that vary slightly-making each piece unique.

Beautiful, high-quality rug. Colors are a bit more muted than they appear in the online pictures -- what appears to be the white pattern is actually more of a sandstone grey, and the blue is more of a medium denim/ocean blue. The pattern has the perfect level of presence and interest without being loud or overwhelming. The rug reads like a "neutral tone with interest" in the room. The grey on the edges in the photo isn't part of the rug, it's part of the rug pad that we haven't yet cut down to size. Our Saint James Coverlet rug is hand-knotted with banded, flatwoven ends-each in a slightly different stripe that reveals the hand of the weaver. Like a wildflower meadow, the pattern blooms across its surface. Part of our Bovina collection created in collaboration with lifestyle editor Newell Turner, the design draws on the Catskill mountain region, inviting a close connection to the natural world.

This rug was purchased for our outdoor area (as seen above). I don’t believe this was made to be an outdoor rug, however it is working well for our area.
