The feel of it I thought would be softer. But it's rough like jute. The color too is more vibrant on the computer, in person it's a dull Red. The original rug delivered was not uniform in size and did not form a true rectangular shape. Rather it was 8‘8“ at one end and 8’11” inches at the other, a 3 inch variation. But when I called Wayfair to report the issue, they promptly sent me a new one at no charge. The replacement is lovely and just what I was looking for.
