Capturing the nostalgia of a sunset beneath a shady oak, Alejandro de Esesarte translates his concept to this lovely wall sculpture. He works in steel to create the image, hammering it into low relief and painting it by hand. Because each piece is individually handcrafted and painted, size and color could vary slightly.
The product definitely looked cheaper and more mass produced compared to the photos on the app. The colors on the product were sponge painted on with neon paint I ended up coding it with antiquing wax, which tone down the colors and made it look more like the photograph. It is a very thin, cheap pressed metal and does not look handcrafted, but rather mass produced
