This is a beautiful lamp and works perfectly in our guest bedroom. From the photo, I thought the lamp shade was white, but it is actually an ivory color. That is just an FYI (it does say that in the details, but I missed it). I still love the lamp. We bought 2, one for each bedside table. They are excellent quality, very solid.. Mary. Alpharetta, GA. Alabaster, with its unparalleled blend of ethereal translucence and timeless elegance, stands as a stone of truly exceptional character. Alabaster has been used throughout history primarily for carving decorative artifacts. A tapered, alabaster base juxtaposed with a more traditional drum shade, makes this lamp a beautifully well-balanced source of light and style.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the cord coming out of the base of the lamp. The website said it was a French type of cord that apparently comes out of the top. I was worried I’d have to return it since I didn’t see that until after I bought it. But nope. It’s the normal kind.. Denise. Kirkland, WA. Mon Jul 27 2026
