“Fashion Illustration” by Ute Rathmann captures the poetic rhythm of haute couture through fluid brushwork and expressive form. A solitary figure emerges in burnt sienna, ochre, and muted rose, rendered in loose, gestural strokes that evoke motion and emotion. The translucent layering of watercolor and ink gives the composition a sense of depth and spontaneity—an ode to the ephemeral elegance of the runway. The warm neutral backdrop contrasts with the glowing gold frame, creating a dialogue between modern refinement and artistic imperfection. Exclusively curated by R2H Modern, this piece transforms fashion illustration into a study of contemporary grace and timeless allure.

The artist's use of pastels creates an ethereal landscape. The bright happy colors open up the painting, adding dimension and creating a sense of space. The warm highlights draw the viewers attention without overpowering it.

Artist Janice Sadler particularly likes working in watercolors, because "the subtle colors intermingle, wash and flow into each other and new colors evolve from it." Janice's "Walking on a Stage" series is ideally suited to depicting soft, elegant dancers.

My piece just arrived, while it is a beautiful painting, i have to say it is ruined by the very, very high glass epoxy that was put on top of the painting. While this might afford protection, most art in floating frames do not have this. and it is not visible in the photos. They should have used either nothing or a non glare option. Because it causes great glare off the picture, taking away from the beautiful piece and making it look like a cheap poster. Not what I expected for this price. Its too bad, aside from that it is beautiful, but beware. Its a shame the pictures do not accurately depic what this epoxy actual does to this picture. Sheila. Dover, NH. Thu Apr 08 2021
