This vintage 3x6 runner is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970, it’s a rare curation we believe may hail from mid-century Turkish designer Zeki Müren.
This rug reflects a uniquely archaic influence with Persian sensibilities and classic motifs seldom seen in Müren’s work. Its particular design evokes a feel of tribal folk art, and seems to draw on antique “Tree of Life” rugs. Its colorway, too, captures a traditional feel in its play of beige-brown, red, and green hues. A collectible piece of intriguing provenance.
Further on the Condition:
This 3x6 mid-century rug enjoys good condition for its age and shabby elegance demeanor.
