An introduction to master rug weaving from India. This design is revivals of Agra patterns from the Persian Mughal Period. This hand-woven Agra pattern is the large floral palmettes. The new innovation of this rug collection is the texture and colors. The antique effect in this rug is achieved with a combination of the finest quality spun wool together with a simple soap wash and new colors. The wool is from a mixture of native India wool and New Zealand wool. The wool in this rug retains their natural lanolin, which one can feel by hand, in the pile.
