Coming from Turkey circa 1950s, a 5x11 mid-century tribal Kilim now entering R&Ks vintage flat weave selections. Distinguished for both its size and vibrant colorways among flat weaves of the 1950s, the piece carries a unique attitude and a refreshing take on traditional tribal patterns with more modern colors for their period. The collectible enjoys distinguished tribal chevrons & solid stripes in variegated tones of red, orange, teal and other hues for a warm, lively presence. Thriving in good condition, a piece well fitted for an array of gracious projects.

Handmade in flat woven wool originating from Persia circa 1950-1960, this vintage Persian Kilim is exceptionally rare both in its deep black color and its uncommon size, a runner of versatile 3'3" x 18'3" dimensions, particularly well suited to the hallway, entryway, and stairway runner projects. The subtle play of purple in the color creates a stripes pattern complementing the length of this Kilim runner with a modern fashion, very subdued in its nature while appealing to a wide array of interiors welcoming this distinctive size and notable condition.

Natural wool yarns are overdyed with rich hues to create the deeply saturated palette of the Orah rug. These yarns are then flatwoven in a pattern of varying stripes and bands of color for a luxurious, layered, vintage-inspired look.
