An absolutely stunning rug!!! The 9’x12” rug was as pictured and looks more beautiful in my living room than in the picture. Beware of ordering a small rug. I ordered a 2’x3’ rug after such a delightful experience with the large one. Big mistake. Instead of a full pattern oriental I got a bound piece of a larger rug. Horrible! This area rug design has been derived from the traditional serape pattern that has been passed on from one generation to the other. With a highly intricate traditional design that can be placed in any room setting. Serapi is low pile, yet soft to the touch, and very durable.

This rug is beautiful, however it is not red it is more a burnt orange, beige, teal, brown, and a tiny bit of burnt red. It is very hard to discern the true color of a rug from a website. I will give the purchase a 4 star rating because the product search and description both stated the rug was red, and because the rug was permeated with formaldehyde.
