This beautiful handwoven thick shag rug is made from 100% New Zealand wool, using mill-spun yarns. Made in India, the yarn is locally dyed in the traditional vat dying method. Before the first wash, the back of each rug is mildly burnt with hand-held flame-emitting stoves. The rugs are given two rounds of rigorous washing, to provide the softest comfort underfoot. The finishing process includes hand shearing, with a unique and exaggerated one-sided tassel fringe. Each tassel is twisted and rolled by hand into bunches with a knot tied at each end, for a unique hand-crafted appeal.

Flat-woven in Turkey originating between 1950-1960, this vintage midcentury geometric Kilim hails from the city of Malatya, enjoying a bold tribal contrast of its rich burgundy red and brown hues with the crisp off-white and soothing yellow tones throughout the colorway, playing well off the length and intricate pattern appealing to both reserved and lively projects.

A mid-century vintage tribal kilim, this piece originated in Turkey, hand woven between 1950-1960. The vintage Turkish flat-weave rug comprises wool in a colorway that reads primarily brown, black and beige, rich earth tones bringing out a pleasing symphony of whimsical accents. An array of shapes within the piece show intricate tribal work with center designs comprising three connected shapes that house smaller designs in orange, pink, blue, cerulean and brown on black and beige backgrounds. Outside of these shapes a multi-tonal brown background is laid out for smaller tribal designs. This vintage Turkish rug also features a border of a brightly colored pattern comprising x shapes. As a larger piece, this 5’5 x 14’7 vintage Turkish rug is particularly suitable for a large den where it can be appreciated and admired, with possibilities lending to living room and even dining room area rug projects.
