Black & Taupe 5' x 8' Area Rugs

This modern area rug is inspired by the nomads of Iran's Zagros Mountains, who originally wove Gabbeh rugs to keep warm on cold winter nights. Hand-knotted from a blend of wool and cotton, this brown neutral features subtle color variations and geometric motifs that add a touch of bohemian allure to your space. Its sumptuous pile is especially inviting in bedrooms, where you can pamper your bare feet. We recommend pairing this rug with a rug pad to keep it in place and help it lay flat.

It’s perfect! Soft no odor made the room almost complete!. Cheryl. Tulsa, OK. Tue Sep 15 2026

Dreamy faded mini stripes whisper poetically behind herringbone relief spacers like the sound of the distant surf. Add a beachy feel with this weathered-effect, durable, lightweight wool flatweave rug. Versatile for all high-traffic areas with a modern and timeless touch.

Great rug in our coastal bedroom. Moves a bit underfoot so need a good pad. Feels good on feet and isn’t too coarse. Variety of colors woven throughout so works with alot of styles.. Monika. Michigan. Fri Jul 31 2026

Like sun-baked ruins along the Mediterranean, the Sandstone Taupe rug exudes relaxed sophistication. A mellow taupe field sets the stage for watercolor washes of coral, aqua, and lavender—tones that feel both nostalgic and now. Painstakingly hand-knotted from hand-spun wool-viscose yarns, the rug marries centuries-old craftsmanship with a light-infused palette, promising to age as gracefully as the artifacts that inspired it.

Good quality construction. Very nice, soft colors, though the background taupe is somewhat darker than expected and there is more yellow/gold than expected, creating a warmer overall look. The weaving pattern has faded horizontal striping, similar to the very inexpensive rugs that are everywhere today, which makes it overpriced in my opinion. The dimensions are also off, not a lot, but enough that it doesn't work well in my space (9'1"x 11'9") but that length also includes a total of 3" of fringe which makes it too short for my room. It's hard enough to risk buying rugs online, but it's very frustrating when ACTUAL dimensions are not provided.. Patricia. Jacksonville, FL. Fri Jun 19 2026

This rug showcases a subtle and sophisticated interpretation of the traditional Oushak design. The base color is a light taupe or beige, creating a neutral and calming backdrop. The motifs, rendered in soft pastels such as pale blue, light coral, soft yellow, and hints of muted green, evoke a sense of tranquility. The central area features large, abstract floral elements that flow harmoniously, while the border, slightly more ornate, echoes these motifs on a smaller scale. The overall design has a weathered, antique feel, giving it a timeless and elegant appeal.

Very pretty rug with rich colors and high quality look and feel. I was looking to replace a jute rug for easier slide of chairs and this fit the bill perfectly.. Lee. Trussville, AL. Thu Aug 14 2025

Simple weave cotton warp and slubby jute weft adds visual and tactile texture to this low profile flat woven rug. Ideal for living room, entryway, kitchen and other high traffic areas. Reversible for extended life and beauty.

Wonderful rug color and texture. Mario. Somerville, NJ. Mon Aug 03 2026

Designed to be casual yet chic, the Caprice Collection features a textured loop pile made with wool fibers. With a neutral color palette and subtle geometric patterns, these rugs are a versatile and easy addition to any room.

Beautiful rug! Really good quality. Very happy with the purchase.. Chrissy. Tampa, FL. Sat Jan 18 2025

This Oriental rug features an intricate border along with eye-catching floral motifs inspired by classic Persian rug designs. It comes in rich, contrasting taupe and teal blue tones to complete this traditional look for your space. Handmade from wool, this indoor rug has a 0.63" pile height that's great for low-traffic areas like your bedroom or home office. Even though this rug has a cotton backing, we recommend pairing it with a rug pad sold separately to help keep it in place.

I ordered two of these runners. They appear to be more of a steel blue rather than a teal color as described. One is slightly darker than the other, so color may not be consistent. They are still nice and I will be keeping them.. Kevin. Pearland, TX. Wed Jan 21 2026

This jute-blend area rug is power-loomed in Egypt. Each pattern is created from a high-quality scan of a vintage rug. A team of graphic designers then perfects the pattern and colors to closely resemble the original rug. The result: a textural and versatile piece that looks authentically antiqued. Allow for a slight variation in size, up to 5%, for this rug.

Gorgeous in person. Nicole. Monroe Township, NJ. Wed Sep 09 2026

This indoor area rug introduces a casual, textured foundation that instantly updates your home decor. It features a thin chevron pattern that creates subtle movement across the surface without overwhelming your space. Hand-tufted from stain-resistant wool, it provides a soft, cushioned touch underfoot while handling daily wear in your busiest rooms. The minimal design easily coordinates with bold accents or grounds a more neutral setting. It also includes a cotton and latex backing for extra structural stability. We recommend pairing this piece with a rug pad to prevent slipping.

Subtle but stylish!. Anonymous. Mon Jun 22 2026

Dramatic yet refined, the Charcoal Umber rug frames a misty grey interior with an inky border rich in terracotta, gold, and sky blue ornamentation. The high-contrast composition nods to antique Anatolian pieces while the fashion-forward palette injects a cosmopolitan edge. Meticulous hand-knotting in a wool-viscose blend ensures that every shade catches the light differently, revealing subtle depth from every angle.

Just haircut down today. It’s perfect for our great room. Very pleased with the quality.. Nancy. Pasadena, CA. Mon Jun 29 2026

Hand knotted in a Turkish-style weave using 100% premium hand-spun wool, this perennially popular rug remains in a special class all its own! While colors range from classic traditional colorways to updated modern tones more in keeping with today’s tastes and lifestyles, these timeless patterns and motifs retain the unique characteristics so prized in antique ushaks.

This rug is very pretty, if a bit lighter than the photo. Very subtle colors with a pale coral color. Thought it was too pricey at the original price but it went on sale. Unfortunately it didn’t work for our space and there is a fee to return it. The bag is not reusable- dirty and taped up to death. No way to open and save it.. Anonymous. Tue Jun 23 2026

Make a bold statement in your contemporary space with this area rug. With its array of thin stripes forming a geometric display, this rug's modern look boasts beige and black hues to anchor your furniture. It's hand-tufted from wool with a high 0.75'' pile height that's just right for low-traffic areas, where it can cushion your feet – think bedrooms and offices. Although it comes with a cotton and latex backing, we recommend adding a rug pad underneath to keep it in place.

I love this rug and it was very affordable as far as rugs go. It is softer than another wool rug I’d purchased on here. It smelled for a few days and tufts of the wool just come out, the geometric lines aren’t as clean anymore. It arrived as pictured and I like it in my living room.. Anna. Thu May 07 2026

This indoor and outdoor rug features a neutral, solid design that provides a grounding effect to any space. The colorway, cut and loop pile, and subtle sheen create a contemporary charm. The stain and water-resistant fibers thrive in homes with kids and pets.

Ideal for high-traffic areas, the rug's stain-resistant wool construction offers both beauty and functionality.

A lovely carpet! A good mix of warm and cool tones. The “camel” on the border is more cool than warm, more grayed than gold. Lots of compliments and great quality.. Elizabeth. Peoria, AZ. Thu Feb 08 2024

I like it. It’s way bigger than I thought it would be. I searched for something that didn’t look cheesy and didn’t have that harsh white border around it. The gray colors are soft and muted. Can’t beat the price. It’s a fun rug.. Gail. Charleston, SC. Thu Oct 01 2026
