It's hand-tufted from wool with a high 0.75'' pile height that's just right for low-traffic areas, where it can cushion your feet – think bedrooms and offices. Although it comes with a cotton and latex backing, we recommend adding a rug pad underneath to keep it in place.

I love this rug and it was very affordable as far as rugs go. It is softer than another wool rug I’d purchased on here. Beautiful, true black and pure white rug. The rug is thick and very cushioning feel to walk on. The pattern appears as a subtle stripe. Love this rug. Just what I needed for my front door. Arrived quickly and in great condition.. Sarah. Raleigh, NC. Fri Dec 05 2025

This rug is nice, thick, and mostly what we thought it would be. The color .. So from some angles it does look black but from most other angles its more of a charcoal or dark dismal blue. The rug laid flat almost immediately other than the inner most rolled edge. That should flatten in a few days. That being said my daughter likes the look of it anyway :). Adrianne. Owasso, OK. Wed Jun 22 2022

The Golden Age Collection is made with a blend of worsted wools from New Zealand and Argentina, creating a soft, silky texture that feels heavenly beneath one's feet. The diverse palette of rich jewel-tone colors brings luster and elegance to these intricate designs.

We have several Samad rugs in our home and the golden age collection is simply the best! This was packaged well and shipped promptly. We would consider ordering another rug from Perigold in the future, however, their Bryne rug pads leave something to be desired. We ordered one with this rug and and it wasn't the correct dimensions, missing 2" x 6" on the width and length, respectively---despite clearly being sold as the desired 2' x 12'. Never mind that it was a wonky cut clearly tapering down the length side. It's clear Bryne runners seem to be made of leftover materials. We would not order another of those from Perigold and we're still awaiting to see how their customer service will handle the issue.. Anonymous. Sun Sep 03 2023

Fresh, spirited, and above all, luxurious, the rugs of the Modern collection can invigorate a traditional room as gracefully as they can ground a more contemporary space. The opulent pattern in this rug is derived from the rich tradition of Turkish embroidered textiles. Meticulously detailed and richly textured, the eye-catching design and impeccable construction make this rug an ideal piece for often-used spaces, such as the living and dining rooms.

Yikes! This is a beautifull rug but literally 5 minutes after you lay it down, it starts to shed and doesn't stop shedding!! Because of the black and white yarn, you end up picking up hundreds of little gray balls daily! Buyer beware. Anonymous. Tue May 05 2026

Mosaic cubes of white wool roving are structured into modern grids with a black twisted cotton overlay for magnificent movement and an understated textural accent.

Great rug. Nice texture and quality fabricate. Good value proposition.. Anonymous. Lords Valley, PA. Mon Apr 05 2021

Crafted with utmost precision, every rug is meticulously hand knotted using premium hand-spun wool yarns, boasting a luxurious near-zero pile for a seamless fusion of comfort and style.

I like it but it really does not look like the photo. I have to get used to the loops of the rug - almost gives it a crocheted effect. It’s nice but much brighter than I expected and wasn’t really what I was hoping for. Non refundable so I will get used to it and hopefully, like it more in the end.. Elizabeth. Newburgh, IN. Sat Feb 14 2026

The rug's floral design patterns are distinct but not harsh; colors are true with the perfect intensity of hue and saturation.. Constance. Wichita, KS. Sun Dec 03 2023
