Constructed with a high/low pile like a freshly tailored lawn, our Woodland Moss Rug brings the outdoors in. Performance fibers add strength, while the sheared pile adds softness underfoot. Part of our Bovina Collection, this rug is inspired by New York’s Catskills and designed in collaboration with renowned lifestyle editor Newell Turner.
The Woodland Moss rug by NuStory is so so cool. I selected it for one of my daughters for her college dorm. She is a huge nature lover with a boho style, and I want her dorm room to reflect that.
The rug is a high-low made up of tufts of wool yarn spread across a field of woven wool and jute yarn. White cotton threads run throughout the rug and bind it together. The tufts are not one solid color. Two of the corners have brown loops of yarn woven into the green with hints of gray. Past those, you have tufts with green and dark gray yarn. Finally, the center is scattered with tufts of green and a lighter gray. In person, the whole rug creates the impression of a natural, organic mossy patch. The vibe is very boho with a bonus 70s flavor. Also, the back of the rug is not cloth covered, nor does it have a heavy layer of industrial glue spread across it. Its nice and soft so, if you had a desire to, you could flip the rug and use it that way.
I REALLY like this rug because of the way it is assembled, and also because I have never seen anything like it before. I can see it in a boho room, but I can also easily envision it in a childs nature-themed room or reading nook. Back to my first sentence, this is a cool rug.. Holly. Mandeville, LA. Sat Aug 27 2022
