I have used this rug in more than one design project. Why? Because its neutral palette and subdued pattern serve as a blending rather than attention getting feature in most rooms. Also because it is hand knotted, it doesn’t shed like machine and hand hooked rugs. It is not perfect. The knots per inch are low so it isn’t a tight weave and warp (AKA backing) shows in some areas (the area and exact affect is different for each rug) — but that also gives the rug a vintage look. Despite what some reviewers say, I think the colors are true to the pictures — however the names the vendor uses in the description are vague and in the case of “dusty teal” misleading. I’d call the colors: grays, subtle greens, tan/beiges with only a hint of dirty teal. If you’re looking for a “investment” quality oriental rug, this isn’t it.
