The Yellow / Gold Orange Floral 1920s Hand Knotted Pile Wool Antique Rectangle Rug is an exceptional example of early 20th-century Chinese Art Deco weaving. This antique piece features a luminous, saturated gold, yellow, and orange field that provides a striking contrast to its deep aubergine plush border. Hand-knotted in China with a 0.5-inch pile height, the rug showcases iconic mythological figures, including a sweeping dragon and a soaring phoenix. The oriental floral composition is further enhanced by cascading vines and stylized blossoms rendered in shades of blue, crimson, and pale mauve. With its substantial scale and high-relief carving, this wool rug serves as a dramatic decorative statement for grand interiors and room-sized spaces.
