Works great! The rug sticks to the pad and the pad sticks to the ground, and the thickness is just enough to make the rug feel more plush without becoming a tripping hazard. We trimmed it down slightly to make it fully fit under the rug so the ends would lay flatter, which I found was easier with heavy duty kitchen shears than standard scissors.

This seems to be working well and I think it will help protect my old hardwood floors.

Made a huge difference under hand knotted wool rug for keeping it in place. Has a grippy side for hard surfaces but if you are using an area rug over installed carpet you would flip the pad over so the grippy side faces the bottom of the area rug. Happy enough to purchase for my other existing area rugs.

Excellent pad - makes my new area rug softer and more plush under my feet. My subsurface is wood and this pad has one side with a rubber layer for non-slip movement on a hard surface. On carpeted subsurfaces simply flip. Love the thickness, very easy to trim to exactly match my area rugs dimensions. Came fast, too. Couldn’t be happier.
