Before you read this, I contacted a manager at Perigold. The manager validated my explanation below and took action accordingly. I WILL SAY THE MANAGEMENT RESPONSE WAS EXCELLENT.....A COMPANY THAT ACTUALLY CARES. SO MUCH BETTER THAN MOST RETAILERS WHERE YOU CANNOT EVEN CONTACT A MANAGER. BECAUSE OF THIS, I WILL ORDER AGAIN FROM PERIGOLD, BUT ONLY ITEMS WHERE THE DESCRIPTIONS ARE CONSISTENT. The Perigold-Wayfair rug description states this rug is "gold and plum". Here is the definition of the color "plum". "Plum is a rich, deep, and sophisticated purple with warm red or brown undertones, inspired by the hue of the ripe fruit. Evoking a sense of luxury, elegance, and drama, it serves as a modern alternative to traditional dark shades." This rug is NOT "plum". It looks almost very dark gray or even black. I cannot accept when an on-line retailer provides a significantly incorrect description of an element that is obvious and so important to the purchase decision. Now I need to pack this quite heavy rug and return it. How can I possibly trust Perigold's or Wayfiar's product descriptions??? BTW, the label on the rug with the design number states it is "black". So, one description states "black", another states "plum" and the photo looks like gold and "brown".

I love the rug but the dimensions were not exact . It was 4 inches longer than expected. It is luxurious.

Haven’t put it down yet as remodel still in progress. Looks great.

I do love the rug - both ends don’t look great as you can tell where they were stitched (slightly different color) which is noticeable since the rug is a dark color.
