This review on this product is two years old. That is because after initially calling to complain about the unbelievable shedding of the fibers, I was told by customer service I needed to "keep vacuuming and give it some months". Well, I've done all that, and now it's approximately two years since my purchasing of several of this particular rug. I have had to buy more vacuum bags than perhaps I've bought previously in my lifetime before purchasing these rugs. Initially, I thought my 6 pound dog that hardly sheds must be having a condition, but soon came to realize it was the rug fibers everywhere. These rugs actually create mess and a need for constant cleaning. I've had area rugs for decades and have experienced shedding, but NEVER like I've seen in this product. I know other people are having this same issue. I would rate this approximately thousand dollar purchase the worst decision to date. The manufacturer and the distributor should be ashamed to offer this product. The color and pattern are beautiful, but that's where it begins and ends. As far as the thickness, after two years of enormous amounts of each rug being vacuumed away, I can absolutely see a reduction in each rugs thickness. Additionally, I don't get much usable life out of vacuum bags as they fill quickly with the rug and more than once I surprisingly discovered my vacuum clogged with fibers, even though I'm constantly checking to see if it's time to replace the bag. The front area of my vacuum must frequently be disassembled to get fibers that accumulated there out. It's been a nightmare and I've come to the point where I've realized this situation isn't going to get any better no matter what their customer service claims. If you purchase, don't say you were not forewarned. What's worse is when I started experiencing this problem and contacted customer service I was shoo'ed away and left high and dry. Attached I've shown a couple of pictures demonstrating the "tubes" of fiber that load up in the vacuum, the front buildup in my vacuum...which requires dismantling to get at, and what I dig out from the vacuum and put in trash before I actually vacuum my vacuum with a handheld device. If this looks like something you'd like to experience...go ahead and purchase. My sympathies go out to others who have gone through what I have. I had to give the product 1 star, because zero stars is not an offered option.
