Hand-knotted in a special blend of Ghazni wool, this rug from the custom-classics Burano Collection by Rug & Kilim is inspired by tribal Kilims featuring medallion, motif, and stripe patterns. On the Design:An overall sage green tone underscores many graphic and bold geometric patterns in field and border alike—old-world motifs of an archaic beauty enjoying mainly navy blue, off-white, gold, and beige-brown tones. Admirers of the craft will note the influence from figural designs in this piece—the geometric patterns most closely resembling living figures, such as the animal symbols in the upper and lower field)—evocative and personal in their callbacks to nomadic folk art. Keen eyes for the tactile will further appreciate an especially soft, comfortable texture and beauty inherent to the Ghazni wool that underscores this piece. It’s an intentional contribution to a classic for a more contemporary level of comfort, and one of the many beauties that makes this collection a sophisticated, smart new language in design.Custom Capable:All sizes available—inquire for a quote.Custom Projects: The pricing for our rugs is calculated on a per-square-foot basis and applies to the standard sizes noted.
