Made with handwoven wool, this rug is an exciting new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Scandinavian rug collection—a contemporary reimagining of Swedish minimalism and vintage rugs and textiles of Rollakan and Rya traditions. On the Design: This new flatweave reinvents vintage Scandinavian Kilim in ways that both honor the Swedish minimalist aesthetic and modernize its construction. This rug features geometric patterns composed of squares in soothing beige-brown and white tones with gentle variations and look of subtle striae born of the intricate weaving style inherent to this collection.Admirers of the craft will appreciate this proprietary technique of ours that both innovates and honors mid-century weaving techniques inherent to Scandinavian style. This modern flat weave further enjoys our reputed, heavier body with buckle resistance and greater durability against foot traffic. A bold, yet sophisticated contribution to the Swedish Deco aesthetic. Custom Projects: The pricing for our rugs is calculated on a per-square-foot basis and applies to the standard sizes noted.
