Hand-knotted in wool, this contemporary Moroccan rug features a ribbed texture and geometric patterns inspired by the primitivist Berber weaving traditions. A field of cream and beige tones underscores geometric patterns in amber gold and orange hues—a warm palette and dynamic drawing inspired by primitivist Berber motifs. Keen eyes for detail will further admire the nod to traditional lozenges, or diamonds—a celebrated archaic motif of African tribal matriarchs whose works are recaptured in these new large sizes that couldn’t be achieved by nomadic looms.
