Hand-knotted in wool, this 7x9 contemporary rug is an exciting new piece in Rug & Kilim’s Modern Classics Collection with a large-sized medallion in gold tones. On the Design: This modern classic rug presents an ethereal medallion composition floating in a field of luminous cream-ivory tones. There is a remarkable restraint in the palette selection, employing gossamer gold filigree work that seems to dissolve into the wool ground. The central star medallion, executed with architectural precision, achieves visual lightness through deliberately sparse patterning. This approach creates negative space that speaks as eloquently as the ornamental elements themselves. Most notable is the piece's ability to bridge traditional medallion geometry with contemporary sensibilities—a delicate balance achieved through careful modulation of pattern density and a sophisticated monochromatic colorway.Custom Capable: All sizes and colors available—inquire for a quote.
