Hand-knotted in wool, this gift-sized rug in beige-brown, is inspired by antique Indian Dhurrie rug designs. On the Design: One fundamental idea that our Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal has long taught to his colleagues and teammates is that the best handmade modern rugs are made after one masters the classics. One such masterpiece is this featured modern Khotan-inspired rug. Connoisseurs may admire this piece with creamy beige tones underscore old-world geometric patterns in rich brown tones, inspired by the architectural medallions and tribal motifs. Altogether it’s a piece as deeply personal in its subtext as it is in the details and beauties that distinguish it in our craft—both a masterpiece and a true collector’s rug, teeming with history and culture.
