Hand-knotted in wool, this 2x3 rug is a new addition to the Burano Collection—a bold and luxurious new exploration of important classics and period pieces. On the Design: A subtle cream-white field hosts geometric patterns derived from Ikats with an almost abstract appeal. The patterns employ rich red, gold, pink, and green hues that capture the look of personal, craft-oriented beauty that distinguishes nomadic textiles and folk art like those rare pieces represented in this collection—an interesting play of contemporary and rich classic colors in our wool, known for its soft, comfortable appeal and durability. Black fringes on the borders mark our signature weft in this collection, and a rich new complement to this nomadic style. Expressing a sophisticated language in design, this is a smart piece of cultured air and contemporary comfort alike.
