Hand-knotted in wool and silk, this 8x10 contemporary rug is from an exciting new line in Rug & Kilim’s Modern Collection, with an impressive range of colors and attention to movement in its unique play on stripes and subtle geometric patterns. On the Design: This contemporary piece presents an exceptional aqueous color gradation, where cerulean blues merge with copper undertones to create a shimmering, almost oceanic effect. The wool and silk combinations achieve remarkable depth—the silk introducing moments of luminosity that activate the surface. Most compelling is the piece's handling of horizontal movement, where irregular striations suggest water's natural patterns rather than rigid geometric conformity. The intentional play between cool and warm tones demonstrates superior technical control. Custom Capable: All sizes and colors available—inquire for a quote.
