This hand-knotted wool 10x14 rug belongs to an exciting new line in Rug & Kilim’s Modern Collection, with a play of simple design and intricate textural elements together. Each piece enjoys a unique approach to high-low texture married to minimalist geometric patterns, and a cozy, bouclet-like texture that’s deliciously inviting to the touch. On the Design: Keen eyes will admire the predominant play of cream and bright white, with some neutral undertones in the lower texture that lend a nice subtle accent to the otherwise monochromatic feel of this chic piece. The abstract striations visible all over the rug giving it a unique sense of movement and dimensionality and the high-low texture further works to create a comfortable feel underfoot. Keen eyes will note that the high-low texture complements both the movement and sense of dimension in the most modern fashion. Overall, it makes for a versatile choice of neutral color and warm presence, and a sophisticated high-end answer to rugs that fit comfortably in any space.
