Hand-knotted in a special blend of Ghazni wool, this 3x5 rug is an exciting new addition to Rug & Kilim’s custom-classics Burano Collection—a pictorial rug inspired by antique and vintage Caucasian tribal rug designs. On the Design: The field features horseback warriors in rich, warm primary colors against a blue border and beige field alike—a depiction of old-world culture and rustic charm exemplary of this collection’s look at the most important histories of folk art. Admirers of the craft will further appreciate an especially soft, comfortable texture and beauty inherent to the Ghazni wool that underscores this piece. It’s an intentional contribution to a classic for a more contemporary level of comfort, and one of the many beauties that makes this collection a sophisticated, smart new language in design.
