Hand-knotted in wool originating from Turkey circa 1960-1970, this vintage 6' × 9' mid-century rug belongs to Rug & Kilim’s growing mid-century Pasha collection—celebrating the Turkish icon and multidisciplinary designer Zeki Müren with Josh’s hand-picked favorites from this period. Emanating a distressed vibe in a mid-century modern style, this piece blends art deco and art nouveau styles with a unique floral medallion pattern in tones of red, gold, beige-brown and black against a receptive aqua-green backdrop. Of unique colors and inspiration, an exuberant European sensible piece, ideal for drawing rooms, dining rooms, kids’ rooms, and more welcoming a beautiful, cool-toned collectible. Especially well suited as a shabby elegance piece for country homes, farm homes, cabins, mid-century modern living rooms, and even some maximalist interiors capitalizing on an iconic distressed rug style.
