Hand-knotted in wool, a 4'11" x 6'3" vintage rug originating from Turkey circa 1950-1960, now joining Rug & Kilim’s antique & vintage collection. On the design: The healthy pile features a well-defined checkered pattern in black & gold following gorgeous symmetry across the scale. Connoisseurs would note tones of dark brown & maroon marking a subtle gradient on the border for a remarkable appeal in mid-century style. Carrying shaggy appeal, an exemplary piece for its age, certain to bring a regal touch to an array of projects.
