Dextrously woven in wool circa 1950-1960, this 1950s vintage runner piece hails from Rug & Kilim’s coveted Kilim & flatweave collection. The Kilim runner spans across a 2×12 geometric scale with a design suspected of East European tribal sensibilities—bold shades of blue, golden, purple, orange, and fuchsia along with muted tones of green, black, and gray for an enticing color play against red with a remarkable sense of movement. A courageous piece existing in remarkable condition, an idyllic choice for hallways, entryways, lobbies, corridors, passages, and spacious rooms. Ideal for full staircase projects as well, and other oversized Kilim projects welcoming a long rug in slit-tapestry weave style.
