A 6'6" x 8'1" vintage Kilim rug, handwoven in Turkey circa 1970-1980 now entering Rug & Kilim’s coveted Kilim & Flatweave collection. This distinctive style is woven in two panels together with an appreciable high-low textural sensibility in the embroidery. The multicolor geometric pattern resembles a tribal lozenge pattern that looks modern in execution even though it was woven by a young Turkish lineage - sitting beautifully on the rich brown with an idyllic presence. Displaying exceptional symmetry, sense of movement, and durability for its age, an idyllic choice for living rooms, drawing rooms, and projects welcoming such scale and richness in color. Especially well suited for tribal projects, country homes, farmhouses, lodges, cabins, and similar spaces welcoming rustic charm with contemporary appeal.
