Hand-knotted in high-quality wool originating from Turkey between 1880-1890. This antique Kayseri rug enjoys one of the most naturally luminous gold backgrounds, further accented by the sharpness of the chandelier's detail, the uniquely spacious series of borders in the chandelier/column motifs, and the balancing effect of beige and green borders matching the detail of the chandelier motif.
