Originating from India in 2010s, this transitional wool rug features an Ottoman design, reflected in unique soaring floral symbols throughout the field. Hand knotted i high quality wool, the field design portrays garlands as the dominating motif in perfectly mirrored vertical rows, finely woven in both horizontal and vertical symmetry with a very European interpretation of Ottoman symbolism in the rich burgundy and beige colourways, accented by the green floral irises symbolising eternity and rebirth throughout the intricate border.
