Hand-knotted in wool, a scintillating vintage 3'11" x 6'10" Art Deco rug from Rug & Kilim’s growing mid-century Pasha collection—featuring notable works of the iconic Turkish designer Zeki Muren. Originating from Turkey circa 1960-1970, this rug displays the exemplary play of mid-century modern geometric patterns in black on a warm golden-orange, sherbet background that seems to lend a 3D illusion of movement on a delicious scale. The almost optical illusion boasts arguably the most unique presence of Müren’s works we’ve witnessed thus far, all attesting to the rare, collectible appeal of this decorative, artisan choice. Bold and well defined with a rare full pile for this shabby elegance lineage, a sophisticated piece in perfect condition. Well suited for living rooms, drawing rooms, study rooms, libraries, and kitchens yearning for a cozy addition. Even appealing to maximalist interiors among the vast possibilities.
