Made with hand-knotted silk, this 9x12 contemporary rug is a rich new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Textural rug collection—with an impressive range of colors and attention to movement in its unique play on stripes, striae, and subtle patterns. On the Design: Tones of ivory, beige and cream underscore a simple series of striae and subtle stripes—an intricate, patternless approach to pattern that speaks to this collection’s philosophy that “simple” never means “ordinary. It’s a versatile choice of neutral, cozy color and soft presence, and a sophisticated, high-end answer to solid rugs that’s comfortable in any space; a whimsical, yet livable piece among our most luxurious textural rugs. Admirers of the craft and keen eyes will further appreciate the natural sheen of the silk blend that plays so naturally with the colorway, bringing out the soft, inviting texture in a unique play of the light and more subtly engaging sense of movement than most contemporary rugs of this reserved quality enjoy. It’s a work of subtlety and intricate craft, made to sit with any furniture and style with a tasteful elegance.
