Handmade in wool circa 1950-1960, this vintage flat-weave kilim rug was created in Turkey. A mid-century kilim, this design showcases a red medallion pattern surrounding a single flower in pink, purple, and black, with green vines circling the bloom. Outlined in orange, the medallion is set against a black backdrop, as each of the center area’s four corners is enhanced by a red, green, and purple flower. Contained by a line of blue and another of orange, the single border appears as hearts in pink, purple, mauve, orange, and black connected by a single line. This piece would serve as a lovely addition to a recreation room for a relaxed atmosphere among the wide array of possibilities welcoming its rich, traditional tones.
