This 5x5 vintage rug is one of a rare set of exceptional works curated by Rug & Kilim—each a unique marriage of mid-century Kilims and pile rugs by a respected Turkish atelier, circa 1970-1980. On the DesignThe piece features light green and vivid pink tones underscoring a bold, graphic sense of drama and geometry in the boho chic design. Admirers of the craft will note that the smaller surface piece was most likely a tribal rug, and the presentation of its warm, vibrant colors atop such a soft background enjoys such a fabulous sense of dimensionality and presence. It’s an exemplary choice from this line, each a distinct Shabby Elegance collectible and a work of art alike—equally suitable to wall-hanging projects as a tapestry as it is to the floor. Condition This vintage rug is slightly distressed and would require repair and restoration.
