Originating from Nepal, this contemporary square rug draws on inspirations from both ornate antique Chinese medallion field designs and a subtle array of Versace-like sensibilities, Hand-knotted in a brilliant, luminous marriage of wool and silk emboldened by the periwinkle purple and deep gold colorways; further accented by the quartering of off-white and black with notes of more vibrant red and green complementing the animal emblems dressing the central field.
