This 12x13 rug from the Modern Classics Collection features a gold field, blue and beige-brown borders underscore geometric-floral patterns keeping with the Oushak style. On the design: Connoisseurs will admire that this rug is made with a new yarn Josh Nazmiyal is introducing, which has a notable weight and sheen to it in thoughtful colors seldom seen in this style. The weaving technique completes the old-world look of the pattern with high quality construction. The design is complementary to the rustic, old-world charm and transitional whimsy of Oushak rugs that distinguishes them from other, more traditional Oriental rug provenances. Keen eyes will admire the particular play of elegant and whimsical, less-formal sensibility that denotes some of our principal’s favorite vintage and antique patterns like those that inspired this line.
